Tony Jacobs

Dr A V Jacobs BDS LDS RCS (Eng)

Tony Jacobs is a dentist who is interested in you the patient, your family and your interests, as well as his profession and professionalism. This means he wishes to help you have the dental care that you want, that is right for you, with your consent, no other agenda. Tony has been at 406 Bury Old Road since 1981. He was born, raised, educated and lives locally. Tony is married with three adult children. In 2012, Tony was voted number 9 in the “Top 50 most influential dentists” in a UK wide vote. Tony was elected as chair for the Annual Conference of Local Dental Committees for 2014. He runs a leading website and forum for UK dentistry named GDPUK. He is a long term member of the British Dental Association, honoured with the role of President of the Manchester branch of the British Dental Association in 2008, he is also a member of Alpha Omega. Steve Lazarus

Dr Stephen Lazarus B.Ch.D.

After qualifying at Leeds University in 1982, Steve continued with his dental training by participating in many postgraduate educational courses and programmes. His main interests lie in the field of cosmetic and rerstorative dentistry. He has completed a 12-month course on aesthetic dentistry and further 12-month courses in advanced restorative dentistry and dental implantology. He has commitment to life-long learning to improve his knowledge and clinical expertise. He believes that a beautiful smile will give us improved self-esteem and confidence. Scientific studies have shown that a beautiful smile is associated with health, intelligence and success. He is a member of the British Dental Association and The British Society for Restorative Dentistry,  married to Liz, with 2 grown up children, Simon and Joanne. A keep-fit enthusiast, keen golfer, and follower of the red team in Manchester!

Chetan Katre

Mr Chetan Katre BDS, MDS, FDSRCS, MBChB, MRCS (Ed), FRCvS (OMFS)

Chetan graduated in dentistry in 1991. He then undertook further hospital training in Manchester, passing his Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeon (England) in 1998. He graduated in medicine from Manchester Medical School and completed his basic surgical training in Manchester and Bolton. After achieving the Fellowship for Surgeons in General of The Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in 2005, he undertook higher surgical training in Liverpool and achieved the Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2009. Chetan was appointed Consultant at North Manchester General Hospital Department of Oral and Maxillofacial/Head and Neck Surgery in 2010. He subspecialises in head and neck/facial reconstructive surgery with an accumulated experience of over 2500 operations in facial surgery. Chetan’s private practice involves all aspects of adult oral surgery, including wisdom teeth, oral lesions, jaw (temporo-mandibular) joint conditions. He has over 10 years experience in oral implantology (dental implants) and examines, lectures and publishes both nationally and internationally. He routinely performs the bone and soft tissue grafting procedures, together with implant placement, that are often required to produce the best possible functional and aesthetic outcomes in implant dentistry.

Claire

Claire (Hygienist/Therapist)

Claire qualified as a Dental Hygienist Therapist at Manchester Dental Hospital in 2011. Claire is registered with the General Dental Council and is a member of the British Society of Dental Hygienists and Therapists. Claire is committed to her profession and maintains her professional education by regularly attending courses. Claire has a great love of animals and is very interested in wildlife. She enjoys horse riding, walking, spending time with family and friends, music and reading.<

Lorna

Lorna (Practice Manager)

Lorna has worked as a dental nurse since 1989. Lorna joined 406 Dental in 2002, and has been a fully qualified dental nurse since 1995. Lorna is registered with the General Dental Council, and is our registered manager with the CQC.Lorna is married with twin boys and a dog, she enjoys running, cycling and spending time with her family.

Carole

Carole has been part of the reception team at 406 since 1997, Carole is married with a daughter. Carole enjoys reading, walking and going to the theatre.





Rachael

Rachael

Rachael joined the practice as a dental nurse in 2010. Rachael is a fully qualified dental nurse and is registered with the General Dental Council, she enjoys swimming, going to the cinema and watching Greys Anatomy.

Michelle

Michelle joined our team in July 2013 as a decontamination nurse in our state of the art decontamination suite. Michelle lives with her partner and 2 grown up sons. Michelle enjoys films, reading and reiki.





Heather

Heather

Heather our longest standing member of staff has worked here as a dental nurse since 1994. Heather qualified in 1998 and is registered with the General Dental Council. Heather is married and has 4 cats, she enjoys travel, music and films. .
